Intro to Tapestry Weaving Evenings

* If you have a group of 4-5+ people, we can book a private class with flexible dates, please email us to get a quote.

This is a four day class with an evening schedule of 6-8pm.

Intro to Tapestry on a Frame

• Dates: March 5, 12, 19 & 26

• Students will learn the basics of warping their weaving frame and how to work with different setts.

• 6 styles of weaving techniques that create dimension and texture, tips and tricks for weaving easier and improving their techniques, and a variety of finishing techniques to complete their wall hanging.

• A material fee of $40 will be collected on the day of the class for yarns and an instructional booklet.

• Students can purchase a weaving tapestry kit with the class to receive our student price discount, this includes your material fees.

• If no kit is selected, the students can use one of our frames at the studio or bring their own small lap loom.

Circular Tapestry Weaving

• Dates: May 6, 13, 20 & 27

• Students will learn the basics of warping the circular weaving loom, four styles of weaving that create dimension and texture and learn tips and tricks to weave better.

• Students will take home a handmade beech wood frame to hang their weaving.

• A material fee of $45 will be collected on the day of the class for yarn and a weaving frame kit. Students are also welcome to bring additional yarns they want to use in their weaving.

Instructor: Johana Cordero
Prerequisite: None, this is a beginner weaving class and requires no previous experience.

You will receive an email reminder with more details about the workshop a week before the class date.

*If you do not finish your weaving within the class time, you can rent your weaving frame and tools for $35/week.
