This is a two-three day class:
Day one - March 21 - 10:00am-3:00pm *optional
Day two - March 22 -9:00am-3:00pm
Day three - March 23 - 9:00am-3:00pm
Let’s make bold and colourful mug rugs
Students will be sent a pdf with instructions on how to set up their own loom.
If you would like to join the set up class at the studio on a floor loom or table loom, please sign up for the three day workshop. This option is available whether you are bringing your own table loom or if you need to use our looms in studio.
We will discuss how the pattern drafts work and analyze how Krokbragd patterns are created on a 4 shaft loom.
Students will choose 4-6 colours to weave their Krokbragd samples.
Students will design two mug rugs of their own.
Students who register for the 2-day workshop using their own loom will need 4/8 or 8/8 cotton yarn and 12 dent reed, wool weft will be provided for the project. Students who register for the 3-day workshop will have materials included in their registration fee.

Prerequisite: This is a second level beginner weaving class and experience reading pattern drafts and setting up 4 shafts looms is recommended.
You will receive an email reminder with more details about the workshop a week before the class date. If you do not finish your weaving within the class time, you can book extra weaving hours at $30/hr.
